Our prime location offers many things to do!  We are located a short 7 miles from Burlington  ->  Vermont's largest city and cultural hub.  Our staff will be sure to point you in any direction you choose to ensure your stay is all you want it to be and more!

Our outdoor pool and hot tub will help you do just that all year-round. Even if you don't feel like a night out on the town that doesn't mean you can't have a relaxing soak or swim at The Ellis Inn. Speak with our staff, and we can arrange a candlelight dinner for two outside in the spectacular gardens, on one of our many brick patio's, or in our private Wine Cellar.

If you are ready to get out and moving, there is no shortage of activities for you to enjoy. Get out into nature and hike around Gorgeous Colchester Pond.  The trailhead begins about 1 mile from The Ellis Inn and is nestled amongst Colchester's rolling hills -- offering hiking, paddling, and bird watching.  In addition to Colchester Pond, the area offers many walking/biking paths and has no shortage of breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains.

Skiing Vermont:

The Ellis Inn is a short distance to most of Vermonts ideal ski resorts making us a great choice for beginner and expert skiers.  Our beautiful boutique inn is a perfect place to unwind after a long day on the slopes.  Sooth your muscles by relaxing in our hot tub, or cuddle up next to one of our wood burning fireplaces.  We also serve a robust breakfast to get you filled up for another day on the mountain!  If you need any additional information regarding any of the resorts in the area, we have staff on site who have personally skied all of the resorts within driving distance to our Inn:
